Just wanted to say thanks for a great weekend, everything was so great from the hotel right through to the weather. The rest of the group were such a good laugh and it made if feel very relaxed and enjoyable.
Thanks again for all your help and support.

Hi Darren, looked for you on the ferry but couldn't find you. I heard it ended up wacky races style again on the way back!
Just to say thanks once again for the Easter weekend trip.I know you didn't have any involvement with the weather, but 2 out of 2 trips with fantastic sunshine can't be bad. Loved the hotel as always, food always great, fellow racers great fun, and in all I had a bloody fantastic time. I didn't think it could be better than the October one, but it truly was.....
Thanks again.
Darren Just a little note to thank you and your team very much for a truly epic weekend of high speed action . As usual the ring offered us all of its magic and was surprisingly not too busy , the hotel and restaurants you arranged were superb [ thanks to Sabine and her family ] .What was also very good was the fact that you had a number of your customers there who were happy to sit in and help people with there lines as well as offering high speed passenger laps , in particular the black Mitsubishi evo 8 who took virtually everyone for a very quick laps . One final note i would like to thank the rest of the people in the party this weekend for making it one to remember [ in particular Russ from BMW Worx ] who became my lap mate .
Thanks again

Anyone interested in track days should visit the famous Nurburgring and I would strongly recommend booking with ringweekenders like I did.
For a very reasonable price they offer a full itinerary for the weekend, which includes booking your accommodation and ferry. For me though there was more to it than that. Both Darren and Adam are complete petrol heads that know the track and it’s history inside out. The first couple of laps are incredibly daunting but they will quite happily and patiently drive you around the circuit in their own car showing you the lines and then take time to sit with you in your car until you become more confident. A ride with them driving around the ring is also an experience in itself and I would recommend to anyone to take them up on this white-knuckle, but safe, ride. Believe me it’s better than Alton Towers. By the end of the weekend I had begun to master the track and achieve speeds way beyond what I expected. I will be booking with them again as soon as I can convince my wife that I need to go away again!

Darren, just to say thanks for a great weekend. We both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, it was just a shame that we couldn't keep going! The track is simply awesome, and can see why you can get so addicted to it.....
Can't really say much more than that, but I think I am already starting to go 'cold turkey' !! Great track, great food, great company, and all being well, I will be booking for the April jaunt as well (with probably a few more volunteers)
Hope everyone else got back in one piece and there were no disasters.
Speak with you again shortly, and thanks once again Anton......
Darren,
Thanks for those picture links. I spent Friday afternoon in the office searching for things like that and found 4 of my car, 4 of Stu's car and one of Paul's (none of Ian's though, and couldn't find any of the Turbo either!).
I'd just like to thank you for what was a great weekend. Going on an organised weekend like that takes all the hassle out of the little things (route finding, sorting out places to stay etc) and allowed us to enjoy the experience of driving round the 'Ring.
Below are a few things that I found really helpful which other people might benefit from as well:
From a first timers perspective the sighting laps in the 2.0l Turbo (what a car!) were invaluable as they allowed me to get some sort of feel of where some of the nasty corners are before being thrown to the lions as it were. I also found the 2 wet laps in convoy really useful as the pace allowed me to get more of an idea of the flow of the circuit.
Having had discussions with Ian and Stu, we also decided that everybody benefited from the quick laps with Paul in the Boxster. I know he's not there every time but going out for a quick lap fairly early on in the weekend really helped with the confidence in knowing that you can take some of the corners that fast (it was also great fun!).
It was also useful that you and Kelvin were willing to jump in some idiots car with brake disks that had covered 100,000+ miles (!) to offer pointers where I could be doing things differently. This sort of advice from people who now the circuit well was great and really helped me to get the best out of my car and the whole weekend.
Once again, thanks for a top weekend, I'll definitely be going again as I still can't get the grin off my face and I would definitely recommend Ringweekends to anyone considering going. Hope the comments and feedback were useful.
Regards
Simon
